He had a very quick rise through the American ranks, 2nd year riding he picked up the nickname the $6m dollar man after amassing that amount of prizemoney and 487 victories .
Weight problems followed and he flitted to the UK and rode for about a decade winning 2 Derby's and 3 Jockey titles.
