Paying to use the toilet in a TAB?

I thought i had seen it all but visited a new Tote in Main street JHB CBD to find that patrons were being asked to pay 50c to use the toilet!!!! I cannot understand the reason for this and it was confirmed when i phoned the help you desk - Surely punters should not have to PAY to use the toilet? The facilities were fine in general but to see a hand written note above the toilets written on an old tab ticket just had me speechless - not the way to keep punters betting!!!(ps this is a stand alone TAB that does not serve alcohol or have any other attraction barring punting)- If you want to increase turnover at least give the punters free toilets!!!!

in amsterdam that is normal! at every toilet u wanna visit,u have to pay 30(euro)c! like that u will always be sure of a cleen toilet!

Fair enough Bush but if i were a punter i'b rather go to an agency where there was a bar and sit and drink and have free use of the toilets- Now i'm spending punting money on beer and the agency gets a commission for placing my bets so less money in the stakes pool as usual - makes no sense to me if you want to get punters to spend the day at the Tab treat them like humans!!!

Sorry Sly but i phoned Helpline and they confirmed this!! Never seen it before any any other Tote so maybe just because it is in the Jhb Cbd

He He He,now i just need to find 2 old accounts that my o's have paid,i can stick one on each toilet at the yard,R1 a piss and a R5 a number two.

Shocking story Mr H, taking patrons for granted.

Must update that today the hand written note was still above the door but the person charging had left with her toilet rolls!I presume someone he let the branch know that this was not in order.

In most of the clubs i went to in Holland you got a sucker after paying for your use of the toilet, so when you see someone with a sucker you know where they have been. You should take a photo and maybe Chris can put it on the site for us. It sounds so unreal and in Jhb Cbd of all places.
