The story of SA in two depressing charts

1. SA companies cannot invest outside the country fast enough.
2. The JSE all share index, measured in U.S. dollars, has remained unchanged since 2007.
In 18 months SA companies have invested R140bn. In 2012 it was zero.
Since 2009 virtually all gains on the JSE are attributable to Rand weakness.

@Mac.The ruling party doesn't think it's as bad as it sounds. They think S.A. Is just fine as long as they're lining their pockets.without foreign investment we're in deep kak.

SA will have a mini economic boost come the England cricket team tour as with the exchange rate at around 21/1 they are going to drink the pubs dry and eat at restaurants everyday. Over 30 thousand fans will be travelling to SA during the tour
