According to turf talk. Abashiri doing well and likely to miss this in favour of a LQP ,Met attempt.

Without him, some of of the Cape contenders and Tarry's champs this Summer cup loses sparkle

Yes , Geoff Woodruff has owned the race the last few years

Hes not won a Major since 2012 ( Igugu Met)
