Horses Stats 2016/2017 NHRA so not sure accuracy

5464 horses have raced

354 are two year olds. so i am guessing 2000 odd two year olds sitting somewhere waiting to race.
2213 are three year olds.
1543 are 4 year olds. surprised by big drop off from 3 to 4 and 4 to 5.
821 are 5 year olds
353 are 6 year olds
120 are 7 year olds
46 are 8 year olds
13 are 9 year olds
2 are 10 year olds
2 are 11 year olds

3728 yet to record a win this season . 68%
696 have only raced once. not bad
1618 have eared no staked. also not to bad.

Food for fought

Trainers will tell you your baby needs time to grow so won't race until 3 ( in some cases later ) then most are finished before they are four
