Is it just me or Khumalos ride in the first was an absolute shocker - from draw 1 eased the horse back basically out of stride and off them and cost the horse the race - imo shocking - stripes probably missed it so won't hold my breath

Always avoid these 2yo races. How many times have we seen upsets in these 2yo events? Jockeys can be to blame sometimes but when punting 2yo avoid relying on form (than luck) as they progress much faster than you would think.

Watched the race and he does try hold his position. Slapping the horse down the shoulder but didnt have the initial pace to stay there. Not for want of trying.
