So on figures Vardy easily wins an egg n spoon race and is nearly on par with Likes of Legal Eagle and Variety Club

I think the 118 is too high. it gets him into the classic races but the proven big boys will be way too good for him I think

Having beaten One World fairly easy IMO) i think there may be more to come from Vardy.

Imo, the rating is not unrealistic if one does believe that Majestic Mozart and Herodotus ran to their ratings - I SUSPECT however that both of those are rated too high and also that One World is best up to 1600 - so I'd like to see Vardy in another race before I take that rating as his true ability.

My thoughts exactly Frodo. I think the others are rated too high. it also looks like One World is a very good miler, but probably deadly over the 1400m

Vardy to date lokks like a horse being well managed by his young trainer
He has taken the time needed for the horse to mature
This horse will become a serious contender for the Cape summer
and I think he will be ready for the Met The Queens Plate may be to short
He is one to follow
