Race 1: Fighter to run on and go close.
Race 2: Meet at George has improvement to come from first 2 starts which were good against form horses.
Race 3: if it was a 1000 m race then I would say Eric the Red no race. But over the 1200 m I fancy Marcus on Joseph Barry...exact boxed with preference for Joseph..who was gaining late albeit Eric was gearing down in their last start.
Race 4: Stuck on You always running on. And should finish in the first 2..maybe first this time. Favorita is the horse with some eye catching runs. Probably be the other horse in the first 2.
Race 5: Priceless Ruler to just win from Nexus...if Nexus had a better draw I would of went the other way for first. Money always comes for Nexus..and is always coming from too far back.
Race 6: Front and Center back to best distance...the one to beat. But I like Mushi Sterek and Laurentina to run her close or down. The latter 2 seem to be coming to hand. Mushi Sterek ran very very well in its last start and maybe looking for the 1400m.
Race 7: Kasimir a banker on the day...as a back up in a larger perm I will add Run Fox Run and Rousett Air.
Race 8: Numbers 1-2-3-4-6-7-8-9 very hard race if anything I like Sir Michael..Azores and Silver Host.
Race 9: Danceing Sword to win..What A Jewel to run in the money.

My thoughts :-
R1) Maitland Magic (5/2), could get punters off to a good start seeing that the close market rivals appear to be looking for further with the exception of Fighter. Having said that, Fighter has had a few attempts at trying to break out the maiden ranks, don't think he will succeed on Saturday. The form behind Maitland Magic's last run is fairly solid, with natural improvement he should pull this off.
R2) Foxy Lady (8/1) could be the joker amongst this lot. Coming back in distance and they have slapped on a pair of blinkers, seem to think there will be a change in tactics, race handy and try and steal this.
R3) Erik The Red (6/10), was really impressive last time out, will take a good one to beat him. Being the only two time winner in the field, he is well in here having to concede no weight to the field, including the maidens.
R4) Delta Queen (17/10), an impressive maiden winner, going to follow her progress, she might turn out to be something special.
R5) Charles (11/2), if drawn slightly better, I'd make him a good thing. If overcoming the draw, he will go very close to winning. Appears to have had an interrupted come-back which is a concern, but will take my chances.
R6) Front And Centre (16/10), best bet on the card. Is absolutely slung in here, 4 from 4 over the distance, and 2 from 2 course and distance. The merit rating was achieved over the distance, this looks home and hosed.
R7) Run Fox Run (5/2), scratched, this race is wide open, not so sure Kasimir is the good thing it is made out to be on ratings, there is always an excuse (these days) when it gets rolled, for me it's becoming unreliable. I'll sit this one out.
R8) Viva Rio (16/10), scratched, will have an each way go with Super Silvano
R9) Nippy Sweetie (28/10), if Marcus wins races 6 & 7, this will start a lot shorter. The jockey booking speaks volumes, and the horse does look open to any amount of improvement.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Following the big scratchings the quality of the card has certainly been diluted
