Sad indeed. RIP.
Spent many an evening with him and Gavin Walker at the Argyle, I believe it was called, in Mooi River.

Sad. Condolences to Vera Jones Sutherland and the family.

Just came across an old piece somewhere the other day on how well
his Somerset Stud was doing in the year that they did the Durban July
Exact with Teal from Barrellen.
And then there was Taban winning the
GR1's.
Our Casey's Boy was their stallion at the time I think.

RIP

I met him once at the sales where a friend of mine had bought one of his lots and we were having a drink in the pub. My word was an enormous man even at his age but what I will never forget about him was the size of his hands. They weren't hands they were baseball mitts.

Condolences to the family.
