Re: GREYVILLE SATURDAY 14 MAY - WSB 1900 DAY
1 year 11 months agoFancy the double :-
R2) Ready To Fly x (R3) Totally Rocks
Ready To Fly, looks to have a lot going for her, drawn fairly wide on debut, looked to be running on over the 1200, and on breeding, should have no issues seeing out the extra furlong. From a decent draw, if getting away on terms, should prove hard to beat.
Totally Rocks, started favourite in open company last time out and has valid excuses for not winning. Fancied in the market on both occasions, so must have some ability. Hope they run her handy from a decent draw, should could prove difficult to peg back.
The 1900, whilst Do It Again is weighted to win, and i have stuck him in a multiple, how reliable is he at 7? Each time his looked shoo-in, he finds something to beat him. The one blessing, he is not taking on a Met calibre type field, and should win. From a P6 perspective, i would go with the field because if he doesn't win, there is no stand-out danger, anything can win. Just my very humble opinion.
Enjoy the racing.
How did Ready To Fly manage to lose that race?
Green as grass,De Kock shorty beaten yet again.

Didn't get the best of breaks and the hanging (inwards) didn't help the cause
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Why do they not have Deez on course any more? He's the only one I actually listen to.

Going to the pub now. My P6 for the day.
3,4,7,8,10 Preference for Floreana Island and Volunteer
1,3,5,10,14 Dont know why Belle's First Wave is 40/1????
5,8 In case She's a Keeper fluffs her lines, Opera glass to make me smile
1,4,6 Again, if DIA falters, I think only one of 1 or 4 can beat him
1,2,4,5,7,10
2,3,4,6,7,8,9
Taking %
Have fun guys

And Totally Rocks fierce going down to the start and probably used up a bit of energy.

Both had excuses Bayern.
Now at least the trainers know what to do on the training track with these two.

Really have to laugh at the presenters- waxing lyrical about Double Dream, which admittedly was a good debut win, but the filly to really take note of is the 2yo HoldMy Hand which was carried out in the straight and a narrow loser a full 5kg out at WFA with the winner.
We have Crimson King running in the 1900. Unfortunately he missed some work during the floods, and then his planned prep run was cancelled due to insufficient acceptors. He thus is likely to need this run, but apart from Do It Again this is a weaker than usual field for this Gr 2 contest. I’m still hoping that he can run into the money as he is over the niggles that hampered him in the summer season.
