R7 I think you're going to get an HONEST run from VISTA NOVA,

slightly better off in weights & @ 6/1 I think worth an e/way 11/ 10 place.

I have seen Maiden Handicaps in Australia, Singapore and the UK.

South African trainers are reluctant to put a maiden in a lower Merit Rating race once it has a rating after 3 runs compared to the UK. Prescott and a certain extent Johnston exploits this in the UK.

Quartet R77 000 in a 11 horse field.Still not as bad as the Drakensberg course where a 9 horse field quartet manages to pay R103 000,and that wasn't a handicap maiden
