The race itself was not that exciting due to the pace but it's been years since I felt a vibe around the July...I've been saying for years racing people should run racing ....the time spent on build up is for the non racing people who watch once a year and I bet they loved it....you got to give a little if you want civilians to watch as those prisoners to the game punt regardless of the surrounding noise...kudos to GC and HW and we'll done to Ali and the other presenters who did not turn the event into ..."I know a quasi celeb and I'm going to talk to him about his 1988 hit and the fish steak we had for supper last night."

Trainers, jockeys, owners
The amount of time the horses spent in the ring and at the start is ridiculous.
Also fireworks on course when there are still horses around is just crazy.
Yes, 10/10 for Hollywood, but NHA and Gold Circle’s organization on the the day was not up to scratch.

Just imagine that song Jerusalem that got so popular, went popular from the performance before the start of the main race 😂😂😂😂jokes aside when I was in my prime at Turffontein and the pipers marched upin front of the grandstand, I used to get pumped up and would get me believing more in my horse,
