As a matter of interest listened to the post race interview of conditioner Sean Tarry after his ward Maboneng won the race and he did mention why Celestial City performed badly, now these type of horses are called rigs and at times or most of the times one of the testicles are not visible outside the body, sometimes they go in very deep in the body and get stuck which creates immense pain and affects their performance, pity that these kind of horses cannot be gelded as you cannot lay your hand on one of the testicles as it is hidden and there are lot of risks attached if you try the gelding operation.

...missed the interview but this info explains the in and out nature of this fella and with this cannot be considered for stud duties either as very few one testicled sires have been any success ...
