We have raced 9 times in May 2023

6 at Turfies 48 races 23 were Maidens or Juvenile races.
3 at the Vaal 24 races 11 were Maidens or Juvenile races.

25 handicaps run at Turfies

2 top weights won and one of them was in a Graduation Plate. Shoemaker and Global Impact down 3 points

13 Handicaps run at the Vaal

1 top weight won River Romeo down 8 points in 4 runs

36 handicaps and 2 Graduation Plates and we find the top weight wins 3 times.

My opinion MR of these horses is so close in these 60 -84 MR races. any horse can win.

So i play the 34 races where i can try find a winner.

A little of the topic but last year, the richest handicap in the world, a Group one event, The Melbourne Cup, was won by number one, Gold Trip, a one time winner carrying top weight.
