Delpech reckons it's nice to have good feed back from the jockeys.Fourie the last one.
It took over 2 years of feed back from jockeys for this horse to get it's next win.
Obviously some shit feed back before Fourie told them what to do.

Shorten from 12/1 to 5/1. Maiden Handicap and allowance helped. Showed pace in most runs according to comments on Winningform. After the scratching of the favourite it was a huge runner therefore they put the money down.

If you go on Merit ratings,the winner and second horse where the two lowest merit rated horses in the field.

Then why not run it over the minimum trip more often?
I'll tell you why....manipulate it's merit rating,find a maiden handicap over 1000m and take the 20-1,before the scratching,12-1 after.Exactly what they did.

Let me educate you - the key is in the description of the race 'Maiden Handicap' - in other words 'a Handicap for horses that have not won' - so Merit Ratings in this case are neither here nor there, as the horses are weighted according to their ratings :dry:

Having said that, nice balanced ride by the Appie at the end last 200m.. not doing anything crazy… just pushed out.
