New Petergate saga

WHO WOULD WANT TO BE A MEMBER  OF  A NHA DISCIPLINARY PANEL

I'm reliably told that  the next  episode  of  Petergate is on Friday  ,when  the  minor squabble of Tony not having written up his vet register  once continues.   I also hear via the grapevine that the Peter's  are going to apply  for 2 of the board to remove themselves  .Knowing  the  normal type of  lack of impartiality  ,I'm sure they will refuse to go ,but then the fun is going to start  The Peter's have already  shown that they are  not scared to go to court  and will take the 3 board members and the NHA  to court . If they win and from what I hear it's an odds on shot then the board members  will  get nailed for the Peter's  legal costs . I also hear Riley  ain't cheap  and the board  people  will be in for about 300 k   or about 100k each  without the costs for their own lawyers bills,which they will have to pay themselves  as the NHA can't pay for them as this would  show more bias  towards  the  paymaster.It also wouldn't  be fair on the Members of the NHA  to pay other people's  legal bills .I wonder if the Peter's  board  members knows about what might be coming  to them

I have read the whatsapp messages floating around. It surprises me that nothing official from the NHRA has been released. It's difficult to know what is the truth and what is part of what is an obvious misinformation drive.

Probably the wrong thread but I have just seen a video of I presume the Peters and 4 or 5 grooms being asked to empty their pockets and being searched today at Turffontein.. No reason given and seemingly the only stable asked to do so

The Rules of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa

4.2 GENERAL POWERS

4.2.6 to visit, inspect and search any place where training, racing or breeding of HORSES takes place, as well as any REGISTERED spelling farm and shall, in the course of such inspection and search, have unlimited access to all cupboards, refrigerators or vehicles in or on any such place and shall further be empowered to remove such items as the SB or STIPENDIARY STEWARDS may determine for the purposes of investigation and reporting thereon to the CHIEF EXECUTIVE;

Can someone enlighten the general public what the cry baby complaints are about when owners and trainers have signed up to these rules and regulations!!!

Grow a pair and take the good with the bad; otherwise
Challenge the constitutionality of the rules or the application thereof in a court of law.

PS. A friendly reminder, you bitches signed up to these rules. Why are you crying foul?

@Bob,

Is ABC not permitted to post this video and the video of 25 November 2023 (Summer Cup Day)? Or does it compromise the parties involved in the pending litigation?

One thing through this whole carry on... We have only posted one side of the story

Not because we are supporting the Peters, but because there have been no correspondence apart from press releases when parts of cases are dismissed or the original notice was filed

Is there a part where it says people or persons present can be searched?

I cant find any reference to SEARCH A PERSON in the rules...Neither can I find a definition of the word SEARCH in the Terms and Definitions section...Could this be problematic in a Civil Court as there is no consent? Unless the NHA has asked for consent before the search and its not on the Video?

.....have posted this before....in the Cyril Naidoo vs (the then) Jockey Club of South Africa case.....Naidoo lost his appeal in the High Court(kzn) when his wife was searched in a motor vehicle and the prohibited substance was found in her handbag.....unfortunately cannot access Saffili to post the link......but a judicial precident has been set....

Here is a question to all and sundry? Is the game easy, or is this a Easy question?

But don't as Adrian Holloway (SP post on 27 April 2024 under the heading "Vaal Runner Withdrawn After TC02 Test"

"Am I wrong in my observation that...since the intro of TCO2 testing....the winners have seriously dried up for certain stables....no positives but likewise no winners either...not even from much vaunted juveniles....maybe the playing fields have eventually been evened"
