EL ROMIACHI 100 NOT OUT 👏

Good morning all – the Breeders’ Cup weekend is finally upon us, but first, let’s take a moment to recognise a truly special event happening this Friday at Fairview.

El Romiachi, trained by the dedicated and hard-working Zietsman Oosthuizen, will make his 100th career start. This remarkable horse is co-owned by Zietsman and my good friend George "the Greek" Chrisochos. Reaching this milestone is a rare feat in racing; running any horse 100 times is exceptional, and this moment will be a celebration for all involved.

Here's a bit of El Romiachi’s backstory: Purchased for just R5,000, he’s gone on to earn R678,525 over his career. It’s been 490 days since his last win, but his record speaks for itself:

We’re hopeful that this "soldier" can rise to the occasion on Friday at 13:35, and it’s an honour to join George and Ziets in the parade ring to mark this milestone.

Guys on Friday our super legend El Romiachi is running its 100 race.A big thanks to Zietsman and stable for caring and looking after this soldier. Im sure that their are a very few horses that have achieved this so we will be jetting down tomorrow to hopefully see another great run. A win would be the cherry on the top for us so lets see what our legend has in store for us.One thing for sure we will be screaming our boy home.

Thank you Dave , lovely article and thank you George my partner in the " russian mafia horse", the legend El Romiachi. Our boy is ready to go , looks amazing and if he can do the unthinkable and win his 100th start on friday he will make our dreams come true. We had the privilage of having a very special visit to the stable last week thursday, and she just wanted to see her most favorite horse , none other than CEO of 4Racing Fundi Sethebe and she gave the go ahead to have something special on his saddle cloth on raceday.
To have George and Dave oncourse on friday will be a brilliant day, win or lose, we will celebrate El Romiachi's achievement . 
What an honour to own and train this boy that is looking now the best i ever seen him... full of dapples and boy oh boy , we gonna scream you home win or lose!!!!
 

That is some training feat to keep him going for that length of time . 

Congratulations on this milestone and hopefully he notches up his 9th win. I"ll be having a few quid each way to mark the occasion 😉

Morning all 
We have arrived safely in PE.

George and myself had time for a quick Chardonnay before the flight.

We got an Uber in seconds to take us to hotel, the driver was hilarious and had a dashboard of note and will try and post a picture. 
He never stopped talking about his new life after giving up drink and gambling 😢
In addition he took as to the wrong hotel 🏨 🤣

When we ended up in the correct accommodation it was over from a fantastic pub called Barney's. 
Weather conditions and food including live band was superb 👌 

We did consider the Casino but Mrs S has a tracking device on my ankle with one hell of a pulse, so an early night was on the cards after a brilliant build up to the big day 

If we use the same uber we look forward to a day at Arlington. 🤣

Posting 2am Scotia.... you really are ready for a long day.....and its going to be a brilliant day i hope!!!

I am still pacing up and down racecard in hand , thinking tactics , nervous, stressed ,  and half delutional as a poisened rat , dreaming , stressing more and smoked half a packet as if covid restrictions just been lifted. Fuck , my nervous system is going overdrive. Cant believe a dream is becoming yet again a reality. 
Can anything keep you this awake almost 3 am in the morning .... well , these are the moments we always wish for but to handle it is another story lol.
Neef to be at stables in less than 4 hours so will try force myself to try close my eyes .... cant wait to get the day going!!
