I believe he said something like 'El Dante should go close - but a competitive race' - no mention at all about Tobacconist - but as you say the money never stopped coming; I wonder if they interviewed him before the race (or as the day went on), if he would change his tune; after all it was pretty clear that all the winners were well drawn and that it was a distinct disadvantage to be drawn wide; in years past on many times the 'golden strip' was on the middle to outside - many runners tried yesterday but they found nothing on the outside - hope 'they' even it out in the future, or it could be a case of 'draw wide, you might as well stay at home'
