Race 9, Palace Prince (drawn 5/12), opened 7/2, see it is now trading at 22/10 joint favourite. Only 0.5kg under sufferance, with improvement not sure Obsidian can give weight (9.5kgs) and start (drawn 8/12).

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Typical out-of-season card - looks a bit of a minefield - even the two short-priced runners (Aladdin's Lamp and Ultimate King) do not look value imo; AL is out-at-the-weights plus courtesy of Murray (hi Magi

) gets another 1/2 a kg to shoulder; UK as per the Peter stable comments comes off an injury-enforced break - so not cut-and-dried

A few each-ways I'd be considering; Cyber Spirit (10/1) in the 4th; Breeze Over (7/1) in the 5th; Chabal (11/1) in the 6th; Impact Investor (13/2) in the 7th; Star Coin (10/1) in the 8th; in the 9th I make Gregarious (5/1) a good bet.
