Scotia on the Sound of Silence ๐
7 months 3 weeks ago - 7 months 3 weeks ago
Good Morning, Clan
Weโll all be hoping for a far more positive weekend for South African sport, after Ellis Park and the Dricus fight both ended in a Sound of Silence.
Last weekend, the 17-point handicap start for the Aussies landed nicely โ but this weekend feels more of a tricky puzzle.
The World Champions are once again heavy favourites to win comfortably. Still, I feel there could be value in SA Half-Time / Australia Full-Time at 16/1, sticking with the trend of the Boks starting fast and the Wallabies finishing strong ๐ช.
Another angle worth considering: Australia/Australia at 11/2, if they come out firing as they did at the end of last weekโs clash.
Football โ The Premier League is Back
Man City to beat Spurs
Arsenal to beat Leeds
The big one: Newcastle to beat Liverpool, with some transfer tension adding extra spice to the encounter.
Politics & Noise
The outcome of the PutinโTrump exchange was a real shocker โ effectively another Sound of Silence, with Ukraine left lacking the expected support ๐บ๐ฆ.
Racing Highlights
Port Elizabeth (Today): Desert Cloud has the right trainer, jockey and owner combination to make amends for last time.
Turffontein (Saturday): Expect Craig Zackey to get punters off to a flying start.
Summer Cup โ Betway: Should be a fantastic dayโs racing. Keep an eye on the forum for updates.
York Ebor Meeting: Daily updates have been superb โ plenty of top-class action still to enjoy.
Good Punting ๐
And to round things off, a classic song... originally band name Tom and Gerry ๐ต
๐ Simon & Garfunkel โ The Sound of Silence
