Very interesting reading here....
This morning before the first leg of the PA was run Regulation was 5-2 and Industrialstrength was 17-10
Look at the difference in PA tickets..32 000 compared to 4500
It's as if the punters knew this horse was gonna go on a massive drift.
5-2 out to 8-1

Not talking from my pocket but astronomical boy also drifted badly. He moved up on the inside and looked like he had every chance and then somehow ends up running last. I would like to beilive its coincidence since a few weeks ago a backed a winner that drifted from 3/1 to 10/1 but thats the only time I can ever remember a horse that drifts alot winning. It appears once the horse arrives on course the bookmakers somehow know a horse isnt ready

People will tell you if no money comes for a horse it will drift out.
First of all there are plenty owners and trainers that don't punt so sometimes that theory goes out the window.
The horse usually opens up at it's price due to the form it has in the book.
No ways will the bookies drift a horse double, treble or even 4 times it's odds if they haven't heard something negative about the horse from their sources.
Most times they just know when a horse has been brought to the races in less than peak condition. They got eyes and ears everywhere.

The odds of coincidence are Astronomical.... SA racing just comes off as crooked... false favorites , barge drifters and yet the winners are backed.

If the horse was no good then how do the " punters" know... where the fuck is that information??? It then runs according to the betting drift and not the form. Who are these wise punters? Certainly not the man on the street.

Why don't any of these presenters ask the trainer what happened and why the form and betting went to the toilet...

For the record, I didn't have a cent on it....

Maybe just maybe some trainers and some bookies are working together.
Or even the jockeys giving the bookies info.

I always place my bets the night before and for the most part the horses shorten but when they drift badly I dont even bother watching for them in running. Case in point future gamble was 14/1 last night a few mins before the off was 25/1 and as per the norm ran downfield. In my experience 80% of the time selections shorten do I enjoy it when it works in reverse 😁

In the world of SA racing where do you think the man on the street fits in, and in some cases the owner.

The long line.....
trainers
bookmakers
assistant trainers
Jockeys
Jockeys agents
Jockeys punters
Work riders

One of the key reasons that the Hong Kong tote doesn't have the anomalies is that the jockeys and trainers phones are monitored....
