Scotia is in KZN with the grandkids – and that’s the "real thing" keeping us busy!
Unfortunately, the eyes are no better, and it looks like the patch is now a permanent feature. The kids are convinced Grandad’s a pirate! 🏴☠️
The racing euphoria has cooled a bit this weekend with no major highlights, but Beach Bomb will be flying the South African flag on Saturday at Aqueduct.
On the local front:
We’re back to PE on Friday after the thrill of Richardthefearless winning the last race for George and Stergio on Wednesday.
On Friday Zietsman sends out One Scotch (something I’ve never had!) and Hospice De Beaune (where I’ll probably end up!).
We’ve also got a Hollywood Greyville night meeting on Friday, where races 2 and 8 could feature a few Betway Summer Cup hopefuls.

I’ve backed Scotland on the handicap and South Africa to win outright.

As for the NHRA, the long-winded emails continue with plenty of differing opinions — perhaps we need Donald to tell everyone the best way forward! 😂
