Ain’t No Sunshine…
Good morning, Clan.
We’re back from KZN — and let’s just say the sunshine didn’t bother showing up.
Pretoria hasn’t offered much of it either.
I’m doing my best to steer clear of doctors and hospitals for a while, though the health concerns linger.
As for the political situation… the commissions, the ad hoc committees — absolutely mind-blowing. And Bashiri? Well, he’s another one when lying his lips are the first to move.
Last weekend’s Scotland rugby match against the Pumas left me shattered.
A solid lead at half-time, only for it to slip away.
At this rate, the national anthem is the only thing giving us a lift.
Thankfully, the football team stepped up — three magnificent goals in a 4–2 win over the Danes, sparking celebrations and travel plans to the States. Plenty of brilliant videos going around, and the comment of the week goes to:
“Donald, where’s your boozers?”
On Sky News this morning: apparently there’s a Russian spy ship lurking off the north coast of Scotland.
The English think it’s a threat of war.
The Scots reckon they’re just studying our training methods.
We’ve got a bit of a lull now before the Betway Summer Cup. Just waiting for Computaform to drop the final fields so we can dig into the Pick 6.
Early impressions? The Equator and King Pelles look strong, with My Best Shot and Spumante Dolce as lively outsiders.
Hope you grabbed a bit of 16/10 Golden Palm for the Cape Fillies Guineas — could well start money on favourite.
For the colts, Gimme Rules might be the right one, though the competition is stiff.
