Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel will be asked to report back on the condition of this colt on return to stables. g) CLAYMORE (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. (*W Fourie) (27.85 lengths, 80/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.

In race 8 however they wanted the vet to check why an 80/1 shot ran last?
