Race 4 Fiery Countess looks decent value at 8/1, the second placed horse (Baie Mooi) in it's last run (plate race where FC ran 2.5 lengths behind BM) went on to comfortably win a MR92 next time out.  

Race 2 : Miss Mackie had a decent first run im p.e , could show major improvement today and looks worth a nibble 

So there is a power failure at fairview , the well maintained generator on the course was started and it caught on fire instantly, luckily the local cash converters has a spare so racing is expected to start at 13:30

TAB says technical difficulties were experienced earlier. all races moved an hour.

Please note that the municipal power supply went down approximately 30 minutes ago. 

Unfortunately, our generator caught fire (a very unusual situation) and is currently not operational. 

We are attempting to source an alternative generator for the day, but this is proving challenging at this time of year. 

We have also been unable to get hold of anyone at the municipality. 

A decision regarding today’s Fairview meeting (29/12/25) will be communicated by 12:15.

I guess there will be no racing in SA today. 

 

They have a spare generator they organised .... first race 0ff at 13h30

Always drop the ball when people are punting its the time of year where everything should have been checked beforehand to ensure everything is working. Last yesr this time the ambulance didn't arrive on course and because they were not aware of a meeting and there were challenges sourcing an ambulance due to time of year
