Amazing, closest it has been is 4th yet wins like an 8/10 paying less on the Tote for a place than the favorite, and we believe that there is no graft happening. Looks more like a Bookies Tote than the public betting....

How else are these trainers gonna make a living with the donkeys we got running here in KZN?
Set it up for a race and try get the money back the poor owner spent on the horse.

Durbs, I don't know how anyone has the confidence to set-up and punt a horse with average form like that...... I just meant that the bookies price one way but the Tote shows where the real money was. I have an average horse or two in training and the max I will have is R500 each way....

In the old days you would watch the Bookies runners at Greyville sprinting to the Tote to take cover bets... Nowadays all electronic and big betting swings late on the Tote
