The Times They Are A Changing.

Good morning all, and welcome to 2026.
I know 2025 was a challenging year for many, and the New Year has certainly started with a few worrying headlines, with Donald once again dominating the news cycle.
Both locally and internationally, these are uncertain times, and it’s hard to say when — or if — things will change. 🤔
On a personal note, I’m still working on improving my health. It remains an uphill battle, and I’m learning that age really does play its part — old age is definitely not for sissies.
That said, let’s try to stay positive and focus on what we enjoy. We’re treated to a tremendous race card on Saturday from Kenilworth highlighting the King’s Plate.
There are plenty of excellent links on the site from trainers and experts, all well worth a listen. There’s also a fun competition running, which is definitely worth a go, and the Pick 6 could be a very nice result for someone.
The obvious treble and bankers look to be:
Double Grand Slam
Buffalo Storm Cody
Jan Van Goyen
Breeders Cup options?
Best of luck with your perms.
Over in Port Elizabeth today, it should be another strong day for Richard Fourie. The old warrior El Romiachi could run a big race after his last effort — fingers crossed for George and Zietsman.
UK racing continues to be affected by extremely cold weather, so we’ll wait for conditions to improve once things thaw out.
I’ll leave you with a classic tribute to Bob Dylan from Bruce Springsteen.
Good punting 👍
