We have Elusive Gift in race 6. She has had some issues last couple of runs. Has run well this course but this is a very competitive race and she gets a bad draw. With the course running fast will have to commit but the pace likely to be on. Hoping for the best.
Stable companion Gin Palace looks a lively runner with a reasonable draw and in form jockey. Silver Salute also looks progressive. I get really annoyed by the trainers saying “first run out the maidens is tough”. This is absolute garbage- so long as the rating for winning the maiden is fair, then there is no issue stepping up to handicap company. It’s not like the old days when you had to run in a novice plate at level weights with other winners.
Quite a few others with chances in what is a strong race for this class.
I’ll be happy if we can run in the first 3.
