My value on the day is bold action in the 8th , dropping in ratings and looks ready to run well at a decent price

Usuall competitive racing .... thoughts -

R1: Not sure if the favorite would be 100% ready after 200+ days off - perhaps Royale Jacket can put his poor last run behind him - each-way ....

R2: Babette's Feast will not find an easier opportunity - slight concern that I'm sure the de Kocks said last time that she needs more ground - yet she tries 1450m again ... Maria La Gorda the danger - but the stable jock takes the ride on Hot Cocoa - so confusing ....

R3: War Talk has a widish draw - but over 2000 that should not be too much of an issue; danger imo is Lucky Chance who is drifting and is drawn even wider; Vixeninthevineyard ran well last week, but this is only a few days later ....

R4: Open - most would have chances; I fancied Battleground last time (pulled up 'fatigued' - so who knows)

R5: Open for a 5-horse field over the minimum trip

R6: Ditto for R5; I like Plumbago Park if the jock can get her towards the stand side

R7: Rinse and repeat - Nkandla Gold each-way

R8: Dondoyaki has found form and with the allowance will be hard to beat - but somehow she is not wearing blinkers - and she improved in the last two runs she had them fitted; I also fancy stable mate Bold Action

R9: Laughing William from Salute the Flag

Enjoy

Brilliant riding from the first two jockeys.
War Talk probably did too much trying to overcome the draw.
