21 March 2026 nominations
They cant even fill 6 races. 48 horses have been found at this stage to leave their stables. Snaith left 7 in
They have raced once the entire month of March where managed to find 59 horses to leave their stables.
They do race on the 16th where the found 67 horses to leave their stables. Snaith sends out 9 runners
Nominations for the 25th March they are struggling to fill 5 races at this stage.
Nominations for the 30th are not open yet.
The weather in the western cape has been amazing the entire month. Bit hot, but no reason to not go racing.
We have Bass, Snaith, Nel, Kotzen, Kannemeyer, Crawford rattling around the other provinces but Western Cape dont have runners to fill cape racing.

I see Gauteng meeting for the 21st March also in trouble . Cant find horses to fill fields in their peek season????
They listed 11 events. 4 look like not having enough runners or barely.

Gauteng 21 March fields not much better
9 races
Race 1only 4 horses
Race 2 only 6 horses
Race 3 only 6 horses
Race 4 only 5 horses
Race 5 we have 8 horses
Race 6 we have 8 horses
Race 7 we have 12 runners feature race Dean Smith only raider. Remind me what the RCIS fund is used for?
Race 8 we have 7 runners
Race 9 we have 11 runners

Small mercies no open maidens

Sylvester u are correct, open maidens a scourge of racing.
These operators have a census?
There are enough horses but programs useless! And we haven't raced most Mondays and Tuesdays for months. Pay people hundreds of thousands to serve up this rubbish!
Where have the ideas gone??
