1 year 3 months agoVauban ran second the other day to State Man at level weights and finished about 3 lengths behind.
He is obviously a horse who gives nothing away at home as WM said this run was miles ahead of what he expected at this stage.!
He's still young and improving and won at the Festival previously.
At 7/1 from 9/1 and to me represents good E/W value for the Champion Hurdle.
It may be which one Townend decides to ride.

I did not know Kerry Lee, jumps trainer with a Gr1 victory at Cheltenham in her first year and, who has a current winning strike rate of 17%, was this gorgeous.

Crowley has one ride today, ok it’s on an odds on Rabaah. Crowley is one of the best when it comes to 5 and 6 furlongs. 5/6 atm

Following Kennedy’s broken leg at the weekend jockey Davy Russell is temporarily coming out of retirement just over three weeks after quitting the saddle.
Last year’s Grand National winner, Noble Yeats, will throw his name into the hat for this year’s Gold Cup. Golden Miller and L’Escargot are the only two horses to have won both the Gold Cup and the Grand National.

Rabaah won well yesterday giving us some ammo for today.
Newcastle flat looks a punters card
Quercus Robur can get us off to a good start.
Noodle Mission looks a pointer but very short.
Catterick over jumps
Chelmsford flat this evening
Good Punting

Davy Russel the Irish jumps jockey has come out of retirement 4 weeks after he retired to help the trainer Elliot, the one who had a pic taken of himself sitting on a dead horse, as regular stable jock Kennedy broke his leg.
