Re: Rugby championship
1 year 6 months agoWhat a joke is SA rugby to allow this type of nonsense
What an arsehole is he. Great life lives in one of the best countries in the world, Japan, now has to leave there in December as the club that he plays for don’t want him there any longer

OK guys give me some updates.
I am guessing that the All Black's and Boks both win on Saturday
Who will be the Champs?
Is it based on bonus points or are NZ past the post ?

@ Dave
There are a potential 5 points available
Should both the All Blacks and Boks score bonus point victories (5 points) then it will come down to points differential. The All Blacks are +13 ahead of the Boks.
Should both teams end on the same points differential, then I believe the aggregate score in the 2 games played between the All Blacks and the Boks will count as both won a game against each other.

According to articles I read during the week the Total Points difference in every game will apply, not just the All Black games.

The best scenario is for the Wallabies to beat the All Blacks, then the Springboks just need to win. If that is not possible the All Blacks must not win with a bonus point and then the Springboks must win with a bonus point, ie four or more tries. If the All Blacks do win with a bonus point, the Springboks need to do the same and win a huge margin to better their score difference.

Yes that is the first criteria where the All Blacks are +13 ahead of the Boks, or that is how I understand it.

this is correct - which means SA will be champs, they have a 4 point advantage on the 2 tests played between the 2 sides (of course only if the actual log points are the same)

Great match and the in running market must have been exciting for the outright winner.

Here’s an idea for next seasons Rugby Championship
Publish the fixtures then hand the trophy over to the ABs
It will save us all from frustration and emotion.
Crooked to say the least. How can that ref see from his position to award an on field try to Whitlock?
Watch the Boks get screwed over this afternoon.

@cnc...the All Blacks lay claim to the winningest team in international sport...but that has been achieved through cheating (they may call it smarts or cunning), aided and abetted by referees who turn a blind eye to many offences committed by All Black players, offences they would actively look for if other players are involved...they give the benefit of the doubt to the All Blacks in almost all marginal calls as if the rules cannot possibly apply to the All Blacks, they being so good that they couldn't possibly ignore the rules in their pursuit of winning...
At least with soccer, you know the players are going to cheat to kind any advantage over their opponents...the All Blacks have long ago made a mockery of fair play in their pursuit of winning...hollow and they cannot even see that they are damaging the very sport they want to be at the pinnacle of...
As an unrelated aside...many years ago, South Africa were playing Aus in Aus and just before the match, the camera zoned in on Bakkies Botha praying before the match...I think it was Phil Kearns who chirped..."he's praying for forgiveness for the sin he's about to commit !!"
