Would have to say poor Cyril has a horrific task at the moment.
He is trying to shuffle deck chairs on the Titanic as his comrades are trying to sell them at 10 grand a pop.
He made a good call this evening to try and balance the economy vs his undisciplined voters but he must ensure they stick to protocols, which he can easily view with recent gatherings..
All I can say at this stage is

Hi Mossel
You may be correct but consider the man is in a position where he could have made life more difficult for many SA citizens with tougher sanctions/restrictions.

And the majority would ignore him and his "command council" regardless...then Cele and his cohorts would try to get people to fall into line and their brutality will be on full display...not unlike the many cases of such during the initial level five / four of which almost nothing happened to the perpetrators...
The politburo are living it up outside of the public eye whilst laughing at the inability of the masses to do anything...keep the social grants in place, have people surviving from day to day and you have the majority of votes...whilst they steal billions without consequences...did it end with JZ and his crew? Definitely not...if anything, the status quo continued but now with a veneer of respectability brought on by the hope that CR being a billionaire (laughable as this former union "leader" has never built or created or earned anything) would not indulge in the same as JZ did...but that's not to say that his cohorts wouldn't hold it against him that he got his (through deals with companies at Codesa) and now is their time to get theirs and he doesn't have the credibility or b_lls to tell them otherwise...
Their sole aim is to think up ways to pilfer taxpayer money and with the local government elections coming up, all levels of the ANC require funding to keep access to the trough and will ramp up their thieving...what does one think PPE theft was about or procurement of vaccines was about? ANC must get their cut to have the funds to pay for votes to keep the status quo going...
CR is more dangerous as he is duplicitous...with JZ you knew exactly what he is and he made no effort to disguise it...CR likes to portray respectability and competence but is anything but...and his inaction against his buddies only serves to re-inforce the view...the Nasrec "step aside" resolution said anyone "implicated" (would include CR and his posse) but the NEC changed to "charged" (to exclude CR and his posse) hence Magashule's standing firm that he, as Secretary General, is responsible for implementing national conference resolutions and not NEC decisions that seem to favour one camp...they are all crooks fighting for a place at a quickly emptying trough...

The 2021 Copa America has been left without a host less than two weeks before it starts after Argentina was stripped of the tournament.
Argentina was originally set to co-host with Colombia, who were removed on 20 May after protests in the country.
The country is currently experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases.

There are signs the UK is in the early stages of a third wave of coronavirus infections, a scientist advising the government has said.
He said ending Covid restrictions in England on 21 June should be postponed.

Well guys how are the thoughts and fears as we move into June
Indication are the Covid cases and deaths will peak.
We are without power for second time today and it's only 10.30
Government still wheeling and dealing as more and more get caught with fingers in cookie jar.
Water and service deliveries still major problems.
Gambling board suspended CEO with full pay.
It's a bit early but I need a drink 🍸
Stay safe 🙏

Cheers Frodo
Nothing better than having a runner and enjoy jab, not sore but hope no side effect.

Tomorrow we have 1Q 2021 GDP data out. Eskom and ANC probably hurt the numbers and Metals and farmers probably saved the Q.
Vaccine some new rule that non medical aid patients cant go to private facilities anymore unless over a 1000 years old or such quite absurd.
Insurers released some eye opening figures on death and funeral claims for 2020.
Nigerian leader giving ANC ideas on how to handle social media
Cyril in UK for G7 this week. hope he is surviving on his MP salary.
Amazed to see massive sporting events in USA no masks(still touchy subject in some states) and we can only have 250 people with masks etc.
