Going to take my chances with the Muzi Yeni double :-R3) Miss Lia (7/1) x (R8) Greaterix (22/10) = (25/1)

Miss Lia, if you look at the trainer’s runners on the day, has 7, 2 to be ridden by Mxoli, who by the way has ridden Miss Lia in all 7 runs to date – we talk about forming a relationship between horse and jockey, here is one, but the trainer thinks otherwise. Three to be ridden by Venniker and 2 by Yeni. Matchett must feel Muzi’s riding style best suits Miss Lia. Draw a line through her last run and her form is not too shabby. From a decent draw, if she can get a decent position from the jump, think she’ll take some stopping.

Greaterix, fair to say most were not happy with Muzi’s ride last time out. If de Kock was not happy as well, surely he could have engaged the services of either Zackey or Fourie. Also of the opinion, if de Kock didn’t believe Greaterix could win the race, he wouldn’t have entered him. Not drawn ideally (9/9), but if you look, only two horses drawn to the inside of him tend to race handy, Main Defender (5/9) and maybe Barbaresco (2/9). Greaterix appears to have good gate speed, really believe Muzi will commit from the jump, rather than riding for luck and letting Main Defender control the pace without serious challengers up the straight. Main Defender is a resolute galloper and will probably attempt to gallop them into submission. I feel if Greaterix gets away okay and gets the rail position, he will be a serious challenger even if it turns into a sprint for the line.

Miss Lia scratched, darn.
Tried to respond .... but with this new format nobody knows if the response is noted - anyway - imo you saved your money - just do not put everything on Greaterix

Well it now does go all onto to Greaterix, not that i am upset. My opinion, Greaterix is one of the better three year olds around, again i don't believe de Kock would have entered him to run for the 2nd, 3rd or 4th placed cheque, that's not in his dna.

Who's your choice to win the race?

The only way that War of Kingdoms does not win today is if they don’t run the race due to rain/lightning

Aptly named with what is going on in the world right now. Don't really gamble like that, i'll have an interest sake bet, if it wins, we can send Zackey and Tarry to negotiate with Zelensky, they can be the adults in the room.

Rain around - so let's hope they get to finish the meeting - thoughts -

R1: Juveniles - so imo no sense in taking the odds offered on the favorite - Princess Keira heavily backed on her debut, yet today currently trading at 15s
R2: Same comment as to the first race - for what it's worth imo weight plays more than a role with juveniles - so Bingo at 5s appeal
R3: If Gimmeanotherchance rocks up I think this will be no race
R4: Night Bomber good win from a bad draw, so has to be the first choice, Cymric - the stable had a winner on Thursday and comments were positive for the runners today, so imo the main danger from Rollwiththepunches; I have an inklling though that the fancied runners might run behind a real spook
R5: Very open imo; don't fancy Let's Go Now at the weights, so I prefer the chances of Minogue, but the value imo is Miss Hannigan at 14s - not the worst idea to go as wide as possible in the exotics - have a look at the weights of Tried and True vs the favorite ....
R6: Spumante Dolce may have her work cut out to beat VJ over the extra 200 - but she has run won in the soft, so I make it a 2-horse race
R7: Slight doubt if Fire Attack will be as effective over 1800, but still the one to beat imo; Parisian Walkway won a sub-standard Guineas imo, so the main danger I think is Legend of Arthur; Confederate looks to be improving and could be the spook
R8: I can't see why Greaterix is in the betting, in my mind Main Defender is past the post from Barbaresco; should a 3yr-old surprise it might be Cosmic Speed
R9: Best bet imo is Golden Sickle - imo good prep and well in at the weights; only danger is Winds Of Change, but that one I think prefers 1200
R10: Shallow field and if the first-timer is any good, he should win

Enjoy

Sometimes being clever is stupid...these weird Hollywood camera angles may be good for Vodka adverts but for punters they just confuse.
