agree with Sly,,,,,,but Sheldon & the rest of the punters were waiting for ETZABETH ( odds on )..... to RUN ON......... but he went out the back door,
as called by Sheldon....... a tea leaf, that one....... will never have my money.

Maybe the punters did not want to hear that the hot horse was in serious trouble and could not win?...there have been many many calls lately by other callers where they either preemted the result "race over" called the wrong horse...even called a horse running that was not in the race yet these guys go unscathed and Sheldon is hung out to dry for calling a favourite losing...maybe I missed something?

Nothing wrong with call
our friends had the winner and certainly no complaints
Also highlighted the way the money on shot was running for the majority of punters.

Commentating was OK for experienced racegoers. Others would be wondering what's happening... So a bit too overboard, but not incorrect.

My markdown would be for too much bias on the favourite. Other people like their fancies to be mentioned in running, too. It's smacks of showboating that some people don't appreciate.

The guy hasn't changed much since he started. Unsurprisingly he hasn't moved on to bigger and better things.
His punting influences his calls. Most of the time he chooses random words that don't match the picture.
The junior cape commentator is cut from the same cloth. Hype and clichés are more important to him than accurately calling the finishes. His timing is off and he struggles with close finishes at Kenilworth.
Now compare these two to Devon Pretorius, he sounds more and more polished each time I listen to him. Naqeeb is another who prioritises professionalism over nonsense.

I tend to agree with you
