Here's Waseem Bukhari, with the full length and breadth of Amla's greatness: "After setting the ODI records for being Fastest to 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K, and 6K runs, Amla has also become the fastest to 7K runs in his 150th innings, beating Kohli by 11 innings & AB DeVilliars by 16 innings. What a class player. Respect"

If Morris did not want to try a be a brag gat and hit 6s in that last match, the Proteas would have won the series

Just came across this. Almost 40 years but still going strong.

In other news Sangakkara might not get another century to equal world record. Neverthless he saved his best for the last" Yes, bad light at Chelmsford with him on 79!

I am amazed that Chris Lynn was not in the starting line up for the Aussie's opening match. He looks like one of the best talents that I have seen for a long time. I can't see how Travis Head could make the side ahead of him as surely the Aussie's do not need the few overs he gives them.

Lynn is a great 20/20 player and i think that the reason why he is not in the ODI side is that the Aussies like to bat right/left/right/left/right. They may be on the plane early if this current match is rained out.

When Warner started playing T20's for Australia he had not played a first class match. He was classified as a T20 player only. Look where he is now. Class players can adapt to all forms of the game.

Looks like there is more rain predicted until the weekend so we could see a few other matches affected. Like Smith said their equation is simple, beat England (not so simple).

100% re Warner shriek. What a player he has turned out to be. Pissing down in Scotland with the rain heading south, just hope that it avoids Cardiff so that they can get a game on today.

As you mention, Wsrner started as a T20 player. Now a better test record than limited overs record. Complete opposite is Amla who has told he was never a limited overs batsmen, his record isnt to shabby either...

As you say, Class can adapt!
