7.42pm And off go the players. Yikes. The DLS par is 100, they're 19 runs ahead of that. .

I would personally swim a truck full of bunny chows to him if he sent Parnell, Berhardien and Duminy home lol....

Karma, that is the problem with SA sport. You can't not pick two to start let alone send them home or the team will not meet their quotas. Duminy is unfortunately off form but is good enough and will bounce back. Berhardien is sort of on the line a good first class player but just not quite at international level. Parnell is just plain useless. In the game against India I would bring in Phehlukwayo or Maharaj for Parnell.

I remember before the 2015 Rugby World Cup semi final Hansen said he was pleased that he was not in Meyer's shoes as he can pick the 23 players he wants and no one will tell him who he can and can't pick.

With all the rain it will be the team that gets the best breaks with the weather that could win the tournament instead the best side. There is a bit of rain forecast for Saturday at the Oval so there is a possibility the the Aussies get eliminated without completing a match, but if NZ don't beat Bangladesh by enough they could advance without winning s match.

Playing a cricket tournament in the UK make about as much sense as hosting the Winter Olympics in the Caribbean.

Yip Shrek, it is the problem (and its flipping sad that it dos boil down to it) with not being able to select your "best 11". Seeing as we agree on the other 2, I will focus on Duminy. Has he got the ability to be an International cricketer, without doubt, has he managed to fulfill his potential? My answer is no...Yes, he has put in a few decent lnocks, only when his name is on the chopping block. After +-10 years with the national team across all formats, I do expect a bit more consistency.. If it hasnt arrived in the +-10 years, I dont see it happening personally. I would rather give an extended opportunity to someone like Reeza Hendricks (and I dont say him cause of race, I genuinely fancy him), he has never been given the opportunity in the middle order, great fielder and he is alot younger than Duminy.... There is another youngster Smith (also a coloured chap) who represented us through the junios ranks, he must be about 23 now. Probably out of his depth, but through him in the deep end and say swim buddy... ok, enough rambling on, I just dont understand why we persist with the same decisions time and time again and hope for a different result...

Prior to the tournament there was no rain for three weeks, watch when its over the rain will cease for three weeks and return on the morning of the first test

AB needs to stop approaching the start of his innings as if he is on 150 not out. We all know his talent but even the best need to face a few balls to assess conditions.

in this tournament so far every team goes hard in the 1st ten overs, except us.against sri lanka we had a slow start, against pakistan, again a slow start and this puts pressure on our batters coming in wen the openers lose there wickets.also why did our captain chose to bat 1st yesterday if they were aware there is rain forecast for later in the day.when we bat 1st our openers don't know how to pace the innings(especially de Kock who seems to be out of form).they are always slow and don't take chances, thus putting the team on the defensive side.

i still think we are good enough to win this tournament, but attitudes must change and correct decisions need to be made by our captain.

He is in 20/20 mode. He had a poor IPL and has being pretty ineffective in the tournament. Time for the chopping block as India will get him out cheaply as well as Kohli and Dhoni are no mugs and would have worked on a plan.

South Africa won the toss but elected to bat, knowing fully that there will be rain later. They only have themselves to blame. Duminy and Parnell should be left out in the next game for Andile and Dwayne.
