The power did come back on

James Vos

This man has lost the plot asking for business hours to be increased for restaurants??

The places are struggling and closing early because they cant sell alcohol.

Who is going to sit in a pub/restaurant from 6 to 11 drinking cream soda ??
The owners need to save jobs and pay wages by selling drinks not food.

PeterD wrote: The SAMRC has resumed reporting on excess deaths after a holiday break, and the picture is awful. Excess deaths as at week ended 5th January now running at 11000 per week, which is way higher than the first wave. The split between under 60 and over 60 is 4000 and 7000. Excess deaths now 84000 since the start of the pandemic. The official reported COVID deaths in all provinces except WC bear no relation to reality. The likely cause is that poorer and more rural people are dying without getting diagnosed or tested. More people are thus now dying per week from COVID than all other causes combined, and this applies to both under 60s and over 60s.
The EC has been worst hit, but some signs they could be levelling off, and very big numbers in the other populous provinces of Gauteng, KZN and WC.
As deaths is a Lag indicator, even if the current level 3 is effective, the death rate will persist into February.

In my opinion every family who loses a loved one to COVID should open a murder case against SAHRPA

They could cut infections by 90% for less than 5% of the cost of vaccines....

Daughter's school opening Wednesday...going to collect textbooks today...but lesson on Teams commencing next Monday...did 9 months of lessons on Teams last year and may likely be for much of this year...

Just means an adjustment for working parents as internet not the safest place for kids to be unsupervised...

" Vaccine process to be centralised in effort to prevent a repeat of vast PPE corruption".

Dear Mr Pres, good luck if you believe this . Who will police the police?

If i was offered the vaccine today I would not take it.
Lets give it a couple of months and establish if it works and has no side effects.

Just my opinion.....๐Ÿ‘ฟ๐Ÿ˜ท

I would take it - immediate side effects apparently same as with other types of vaccines

long term side effects (years?) - I'm too old to worry about them

You have had Covid (I think I also had it but did not test but all the symptoms inc loss of taste and breathing problems for a month or so ) so would you want a vaccine to protect against what you've already had? I too will pass unless I am told that you can 100% contract it again.
