One runner at Fairview on Friday. Aussenkehr in race 5. has been poor last few and the handicapper has not dropped him. Hopefully he can bounce back.

Another poor run by Aussenkehr.
Two runners at Scottsville on Sunday. 
Horse Pharoah in race 4. If he can behave then can improve significantly, but he has been very difficult so far.
Dawn Surprise in race 8. good last run and should enjoy the step up in trip. Tough draw to overcome, but if she has some luck in the running then has an ew shout in an open contest.

No show from the two at Scottsville.

Two runners at Fairview on Tuesday.
Elusive Hunter in race 1. Has been very busy and 3rd run in as many weeks. However, has shown some improvement last two and if maintaining form can run in the money with the benefit of the 4kg claim. Extraction good run last time on turf, and although first local run on poly was poor, has run ok Greyville poly. Is the one to beat if reproducing latest effort. Weak field and very open if she fails.
Beau Kala in race 4. Good last effort after break and should again go close if repeating. She has a string of seconds to her name, but hopefully can crack her second win one of these days. Open race, many with chances.

It’s been a quiet week with the cape races washed out

two runners at Fairview on Friday. Mhlabeni in race 7. Bounced back last time and can win this on best form. Sequoia and The Mauritian look the ones to beat.
JP Twothousand makes his local debut. Under sufferance by 2.5kg, and this is probably a bit short for him. Has been hammered in Gauteng, and the 2 months break was probably much needed. If he runs well fresh could surprise, but is better 1400/1600m. very open race.

No show at Fairview.
One runner at Vaal on Wednesday. Hokaai My Meisie in race 1. Not a bad effort first run in Gauteng after a long break. Ought to be able to win a race or two before going to stud. Could run in the money but quite a competitive race. Francilien looks the pick. Quite a few with chances.

An ok run by Hokaai, but no real improvement on previous.

3 runners at Fairview on Friday 
Elusive Hunter surprised to run a place in race 1, as this looked a bit too strong for her.

Beau Kala and Treasure Hunt both in race 6. Very competitive race, and anything can win.
I prefer Treasure Hunt at the weights but both have fair ew chances.

Good win by Treasure Hunt and a decent second by Beau Kala.

One runner at Turffontein on Saturday. Stroopsoet in race 3. Showed good improvement second start and the step up in trip should suit. Accept Cookies good second run C&D and is thus the one to beat from a good draw. Tipperary and Sunfire have shown some ability, and Glamorous Lady can challenge if building on a decent debut effort. Hoping that Stroopsoet can upset the favorite, and she should be in the money.

Stroopsoet fought with the rider for half the race and had nothing to come in the finish.

One runner at Fairview on Tuesday 
Elusive Mata in race 1. She has not been consistent, but a small and weak field where she looks well in. The hot favorite Vintage Crystal is the obvious one to beat, but there should not be much between them. 

Good run close second by Elusive Mata.

Two runners at Fairview on Friday.
Walk With Me in race 3. He is a nice, up and coming youngster, but he bumps two much higher rated local youngsters. Mr Speaker may prefer a bit further but is still the one to beat. Family Law over raced and stopped badly, but that was 1600m. He has good form down the straight. Walk With Me has plenty scope for improvement and will be better this trip, so he can improve enough to win. However, he would have been better suited to a handicap.
Nothingelsematters in race 6. He should again be running on strongly but is probably better a little further. An open race but he has an ew chance.
