Bavuma needs to think about the team and either drop himself down the order or step aside. He is not an opening batsman. Very good middle order test batsman but not 20/20. I can see what the Proteas are trying to do using him to open to be the anchor. SA need to go hard and fast in the opening 6 overs. Try to get as close to 70 as possible but that won’t happen with Bavuma opening. Hendricks must open with de Kock. Hendricks had a fantastic tour of England therefore is a must play. The bowling unit are up there with the best and the fielding is top rate. The batting needs to improve starting from the top of the inning.

You only good as your weakest link rings true at the moment if you are a Proteas fan.

We definitely got a problem to fit Bavuma in the line up in an appropriate batting slot. With the grounds in Australia we got big problems.

Rilee Rossouw after returning to the side has made only one good score of 96 and in 4 other innings has made a total of 30 odd. He is a powerful player but if he flops, the jury will be out.

Parnell offers left arm seam but is no true all rounder. He can hold the bat but Dwaine Pretorius is a better option.

Maharaj has proven he is a capable white bowl player as well. In Australia will they play 2 spinners though.

@cnc..unlikely to happen as I think they have set their plans for the T20 World Cup..."very good middle order test batsmen"...questionable...only 1 hundred and 19 fifties in 87 test innings...averaging 34...I'd concede that he has played some good test innings in diifficult times...

He's symbolic of an overall poor batting unit...even De Kock (not in good form of late) didn't do anything to really support Miller yesterday...for a long time he was at a run a ball when a little more urgency was required...

According to Miller, he de Kock, apologised when the game was over. He is not in good form at the moment and hopefully he comes right. He knew he could have done better, de Kock.

In our Group,

India - Their bowlers are going for many. If they bowling second they are going to be found out. Might be no Bumrah

Pakistan - Relying heavily on Rizwan and Babar. Shaheen Shah, will he be fit in time.

Bangladesh - We should win against them in the bigger grounds.

Bumrah is out of the World Cup.

South Africa definitely can progress to the semi finals. They enough batters that can clear the ropes in Australia. Their bowling attack is also good.

Tristan Stubbs although tall is an excellent fielder. The future looks good with him, Brevis and Marco Jansen.
