Good morning all and this Virus has become such a reality 😷😢
Not sure that 2021 will be any better?
We got all clear and left the house for first time in a couple of weeks 🙏
Went to one of the many local pubs and restaurants we have, its basically an outside area but was well organized as far as distance between tables, sanitize etc
Probably 100 people but we the only 2 with masks.
I found that normal before our isolation, I am sure everyone had masks with them.
Our intention is to catch up with kids early in new year but we are now hearing of many friends that actually have the Virus, this was never the case before....its certainly worrying times.
Lets take it day to day
Keep safe 😷🙏

Hi Dave, happy to hear that it’s over,I can only imagine how it must have felt to be told that you have it especially at a older age, the things that must have been going through your mind...
The second wave seams to be worse, for the first time I’m hearing that people I know are catching it aswell as some family. It’s been March 2020 until now the end of 2020, so if we are realistic and look at the form book,it is going to carry on the whole of 2021 as close to a year has gone and we still in the same spot and now it looks like it’s getting worse aswell as the majority of people think it’s over so they carrying on as if it doesn’t exist. Don’t know how I will get through 2021 as 2020 has destroyed me and many others.

Must admit, i think pay for a test is a waste of money, reason being, then what? Whatever the cost of the test (say and i heard) R 850.00, when you contract the virus, i have no doubt your body will "tell you". That test money can go towards self medication because there is no cure for this other than your body fighting back. Any vitamins or supplements enhances your chances, if there was a cure, we wouldn't be waiting for a vaccine.
Your thoughts on testing.

How are they going, Magi?
All still home self medicating with varying degrees of symptoms ... but it appears they mostly past the dangerous phase (entering the respiratory system)...
As regards my daughter... only in her head and throat and she is on day 7 so fingers crossed.
She is medicating with panado only, and supplementing Vit. D, Zinc elemental and quercetin. 1000 mg's Vit C every second day.

Thanks for asking Lionel !!

Thanks for sharing, Magi.
I must admit, I did think (and still do), that the reaction to the first wave was exaggerated, but this second wave got me sitting up in my chair.
@Bayern, i agree with you. If you need a test to see if you're infected, then you should be fine without knowing, unless, you live with someone who is considered high risk.
In that case the testing will be for their wellbeing.
My 2 cents...

Try adding Instant Honeyed Ginger Drink to your daily medication. Take it exactly as you would Med-lemon.

Lionel, everyone i have spoken with says you'll know when you got it. The number one symptom, their chest "is on fire", lesser signs, maybe a head-ache and dry cough.
Just like admitting yourself to a hospital, only do so if you experiencing breathing difficulties, again, all they will do is put you on oxygen.
I think self medicate every day for how long this is around to give yourself a chance.
