So will crowds be allowed back on course?

According the the government regs no gatherings over 50

So they are already breaking the rules so I say who gives a heck, just go for it

I would guess our esteemed regulatory body would publish the exact specifications ito course attendance - I would assume the status quo (owners to apply) will remain as the default ....

Sorry to be a party Pooper. Level 2 although a relief to many is too late for many. as expected Ramaphosa waffled for most the speech. he could have sent us all a text message.
The Curfew( Casinos still heavily impacted), State of Disaster still hangs large over 60 million peoples freedoms.
disappointingly he never referred to the massive Tender fraud being committed under the lockdown by his own party in cahoots with quasi business people also elite from his own party.
The unemployment figures for the second Quarter are due in the next few days which will really strike home how FCUKED we are. a few days ago we had vehicle sales and Fuel volume sales for the same Quarter. and they we Abysmal.

as for the actual virus - scares me to death ( i wont be rushing to local pub just yet). SA is still tracking in the top 10 in the world with daily cases and deaths.and that on a testing volume that dropped 60 % in the last two weeks. the excess deaths referred to previously here on ABC are the numbers to watch.

the next major hurdle for south africa will be the 1st week in October when the SASSA Child grant is halved after 6 months of "RELIEF" between 9 -11 million people will over night be much worse off than they were.

in anticipation of this weeks BRP proposal, i am getting used to UK Racing as my source of entertainment. yesterday Dream of Dreams looked very good and the experts got all excited about a debut winner Megallan.

That`s my point, owners are not allowed and have never been allowed under the government specifications

So why not just say bugger it?

Sure they can cordon of zones at the tracks and control the entry into each zone (under 50)

It’s day 144 of the lockdown .
It’s the last day of level 3 and tomorrow it’s level 2.

Probably too late for many businesses, but at least prices of drinks and cigs will drop drastically.

The task team on corruption, is under investigation 🤭

As far as racing, it’s the Vaal today.
The good news is that it’s YORK this week from Wednesday to Saturday.
Fields not finalized but here are some highlights.

Wednesday: Darain runs in a very competitive field.
Ghaiyyath looks hard to beat but Kameko and Lord North will try their best.
Thursday: Love the joint fav for ARC should win.
Friday : Battaash should beat Art Power
Saturday is the Ebor Handicap.

Did you watch Palace Pier win yesterday, video posted on site.

Had a bit of a restless night with fears and thoughts, just wanted to punch someone when I woke up.
No song today but who will ever forget this first round.

Remember watching that round years ago...good memories...
?
On a more important note, more than 3 million people lost their jobs in the private sector...any guesses on how many in the public sector didn't receive full pay?  :(

Tells us everything that needs to be known about this government...it was never about saving lives but about control...

Day 145 of lockdown

Big decision to me made, gym or bottle store at 9.??

We should hopefully get an announcement from the BR with the way forward for Phumelela.

No local racing today. As far as UK we have Beverley and a jump meeting from Fontwell where Jens Boy looks best.
Kempton tonight where Guru and Renaissance should win.
If you fancy taking an ATC with above 3 onto Ghaiyyath for the Juddmonte at York on Wednesday? Should get you in the mood for some great racing.
Please note it appears Magical has joined Kameko and Lord North to take on the Charlie Appleby star.

As far as a song, just get the impression that the majority of SA citizens are totally sick of the damage the ANC has done and it’s possible that we might all have to take the protest to the streets?

Here is one of my favourite artists.........
