Back to Dodge City Dave. Reddington and Magnum did their job.
ANC turmoil, BR unknown, 702 turmoil, trigger happy police............
Hopefully Zietsman brings home the bacon.

Day 159 from a rather cold, miserable day in Pretoria.
It’s Spring Day the 1st of September, so the hours became days, weeks, months and now a new season.
We have power cuts again for the rest of the week.
Was reading yesterday that Logician 2/1 was going to take on Enable 1/3 on Saturday at Kempton but has now been scratched, so you can expect Winx odds.
Racing from a rather cold Vaal today but it should be a bit hotter in court where GC meet the BR team to try and keep local racing on track
Only one question during these confusing times.

Day 160 and the first day of Spring turned out not that bad, with the exception of weather and power cuts.
The big news is that we appear to have a result as far as SA racing moving forward.
Make no mistake, it won’t be easy but hopefully a bit transparency and the call to work together will be met.
I am sure there must be a bit tension between GC and MOD/BR/Task team, after yesterday’s court case. A joint racing body should be the long term solution.
Getting the right team together will be essential, people need to trust the leaders and get an upswing in Stakes and racehorse ownership.
Plus look after the punter and come to an arrangement with the open bet.
Sure there are plenty items on the agenda and trust between the parties is essential.
Be careful at these initial meetings.

It’s day 161
Power cuts remain our biggest fear 😎
Plus our biggest thought, is forgetting today is Thursday and the bottle stores close 🥃
Let’s see what action plans and communication comes from the new racing task team.🤞
Not sure if Fred is totally dead? I did watch Fred on his racing channel yesterday and must say, he was hands on and giving many price boosters on various sporting events to his punters 👍
Whatever happens racing will certainly need the following to succeed.

Day 162 of Lockdown
It’s Friday and another weekend arrives.
Had a few drinks with the Gold Cup winner yesterday, not the horse but the owner and more big race trophies are predicted with his famous silks.
We should keep an eye out for the Noble Tunes, and our own Humble Tune could race this month 🤞
It’s the Kentucky Oaks tonight and the Derby on Saturday.
Gamine is generally evens to beat Swiss Skydiver and Tiz the Law is also around evens for the Derby.
There will be no evens available for Enable at Kempton on Saturday, with 1/5 the price.
Heavy going and rain is predicted in Kentucky, so here is an oldie from the King

Day 163
A belated post after staying over with family and power going off at 11.00 😎
Some good racing today with Enable today stretching her legs .
Big sprint where Art Power should get back to winning ways and 6/1 ew should cover your bet.
Derby tonight after the Oaks last night where track record was broken.
Have a good weekend and be safe with family and friends.

It’s now day 164
Must say it’s time to end this lockdown and get back to normal.
Well it’s Sunday and the sun is shining, 🌞
Plenty racing today, we have 2 local meetings, plus racing from UK and Ireland etc.
However the race of the day is at Longchamp, France.
Pinatubo is the 15/10 fav, it’s only a 6 horse race field but a real cracker.
Enable was impressive yesterday but the ARC betting remains unchanged.
I have always enjoyed PLAYING FOR CHANGE music videos and whether it be racing or SA, we are desperate for proper change on the best way forward.
I previously posted Robbie Robertson, here is one from the late great Marvin Gaye.

Day 165
I watch on the news that Julius Malema is having a bad hair day 💂♀️
We really get over sensitive about small issues when Rome burns on serious issues.😪
Racing today has a change of venue Greyville on a Monday.
It’s not been easy for the punters recently and today does not look any easier with big exotics predicted.
If you need a winner today it’s Tawlled at Leicester but a short price.
At least the sun is shining again and it’s September.
