Morning all, no idea how long we have been in lockdown.
Fears and thoughts as far as Horseracing is concerned are getting worse, as it’s one thing after another.
Not sure when MOD will be on board, the sooner the better and a massive challenge ahead.
The President has again spoken, to tell us what the ANC have collapsed, does not really help, however it appears he can repair the damage?
We have not had the bins emptied for 2 weeks and big strikes are planned as increases expected from big labour unions.
Results continue to be very difficult for the punters and it’s now spread to football..
We have to be brave and worry only at night, then in the morning wipe away those tears......?

I heard a rumour that Level 4 is back on the cards but this time schools will be open. Believe it or don’t believe it.

Good morning all and it’s time for another song, it’s a wet Monday and a new week.
Racing still appears to be ticking over but a massive injection still needed to get back on track, look forward to MOD kicking in.
Went to visit Humble Tune at the Candice Dawson stables and popped into the clubhouse, highly recommended, good service, good food and very reasonable prices.
On the news front very concerned about the level of crime and violence increasing.
We have been watching a few new shows on Netflix after completing Blacklist.
The David Attenborough documentary A LIFE ON OUR PLANET, is essential viewing.
Also watching SUITS with a very catchy theme song.

Good morning all, I guess we have no fears or thoughts on level one?
My fear is we follow international trends and increase restrictions again.
Managed to survive my extended birthday bash and thrive on a party atmosphere, might manage another one for the big 70🥃.
Must say this heatwave is taking its toll and devastating fires in Free State 🔥
The thread on Joe vs Donald has had many opinions with 229 comments and 4220 views and the million dollar question is, should we be Punting Donald at 15/10 and ignoring Joe at 6/10.
Overseas racing moves from flat to jumps and hope the punters can get better results. Note that the dual National winner Tiger Roll runs at Navan on Thursday on the flat.
It’s Greyville today and looks a decent card and we have plenty experts/tipsters to follow.
Newmarket is the pick of overseas racing where William Buick is the man to follow, he will try for a hat trick on Act of Wisdom 2/1 and Royal Touch is another good mount at 6/10.
Have updated the Covid thread.
Look forward to an update from MOD, or anyone else on the best way forward for local racing, before the Stakes agreement comes to an end.
Not sure when the Gambling Board is meeting to approve the license for MOD to “kick in “.
What about a song from a lovely lass to make me feel younger.

Sadly re: MOD
It’s the competition commission first and only New Year for Gambling Board.
Not going to be a quick fix.

When I see all the glamorous TV “casino” adverts from the mainstream bookies I think this is yet another death knell for horseracing. Personally, I think MOD is chasing bad money with good.

Just a reminder and no fear from Sam
17.15 today and is around 7/1.
Sixteen-year-old Sam Ewing has described Tiger Roll as "one of the best horses ever" and cannot believe his luck in getting the chance to partner the legendary two-time Grand National hero at Navan on Thursday.
A 1m6f Flat race on a tepid Thursday afternoon in October with a teenager on board is probably not the way we expected Tiger Roll to reappear, but this is 2020 and Gordon Elliott has chosen the Flower Hill Maiden as the first stop on the road back to Aintree in April.

Cheers Mac
Our power went off AGAIN and only due back at ten o'clock more CABLE THEFT.
This country is become a real concern.
Had to come to pub, can I claim Eskom for the bar tab?
