Logic does not often play a big part in Government decisions - after the rains we had this week, I would not be surprised if they decide to tighten water restrictions

There was a member of the portfolio committee on Public Enterprises who was trying to justify the R10 billion allocated to SAA...he said something along the lines of the employees are really struggling and the government didn't want to come across as not caring about employment...I had a little chuckle in the car when I thought about all the jobs the government created with the lockdowns !!

Government is oblivious that there exists a private sector (and private rights) but what would one expect from people aligned to and members of the SACP and USSR trained...

Mr. President will address the nation.
No fireworks expected and it appears
the message will be for everybody to be more proactive in avoiding a second surge
of infections now that the Black Friday and silly season is approaching.
And the year- end parties.

"year-end parties"...the economy on it's knees with more than 3 million having lost their jobs in the private sector...who has got money to party? Likely the government employees who haven't lost a cent in the last 8/9 months?

Not one U.K. politician has offered to take a pay cut, infact they are all getting a 6% pay increase, not one has lost their job even though they lie to the public every single day of the week. They all received £10k at the start of the pandemic to help them cope.If I don’t make it as a footballer, golfer or rock star on my next visit I am going to be a politician

Good morning all.
Not sure how many days we are into lockdown, estimate 222.
As far as the Presidents announcement, would have to say no complaints from my side .
The masks are a pain but vs economic recovery they are a small burden.
Mrs S and myself have been invited to my friends farm for a long weekend, with some other mates.
It’s a bit basic but we are “packing for BEAR”.
No dehydration envisaged and no vegetarians or vegans welcome, gout tablets are permitted.
There is very little coms and I will be heading to the nearest town on Saturday afternoon to watch Humble Tune run.
Have packed my old safari suit, the hair comb in the sock no longer required.
Sure the barman at the local pub will be happy to switch the TV to Tellytrack when I ask him for a double Klippies and coke and show him a photo of Zietsman.
It’s going to be hot and dry, will borrow a horse to get to the pub.
Georgie the Greek (Zoro) will be at the track to keep us updated.
Hope you all have a great weekend and keep safe and
Good Punting
