Due to concurrent load shedding and mobile data down, Dave, I have not yet seen the Juddmonte. Beware. Hoping there will be a link.

Aah thank you Bob for the other thread. I’ve seen now. I know whom I will be backing for the Arc.

Day 148, is that 5 bloody months 😷
No power cuts this weekend 🙏
Gumede appointment once again shows the ANC have no actual commitment to corruption.
Racing: At last some transparency on the way forward for SA racing.
Biz News video is on the site.
York today where Battaash to beat Art Power in a great clash 5/10 and 3/1.
Love impressed yesterday, personally I thought Ghaiyyath beat a stronger field. However O’Brien has spoken “best filly he has trained” .
Arc: Love 9/4, Enable 3/1 and Ghaiyyath 6/1 ( not a definite runner) plus throw Stradivarius into the equation and we have a cracker.
As the Beatles would say

Day 149 of the lockdown
It’s the last day at York and what a pleasure it has been, with impressive coverage from Tellytrack.
I guess the punters did ok with the 3 good things arriving.
Now finding the Ebor winner is never easy but I am suggesting an ew on Verdana Blue at 10/1 win and 5/2 a place, Ryan Moore rides.
Not sure if you know the horse but I remember it beat the champion hurdler Buveur Dair 1/4 by a short head, so stamina not an issue.
What can we say about our cop with the hat raving about catching 300,000 for breaking the law under lockdown, when in fact they are normal citizens trying to have a reasonable life under difficult circumstances.
The criminals are the people committing murder, rape and corrupt government officials.
Anyway it’s weekend and we going up a mountain to look after our friends house and dogs. They did see a leopard on the tv monitor last week, so Mrs S won’t be wearing her leopard skin coat.
I will have my Raymond Reddington hat with Magnum under the pillow.
Worth a watch to get you into the mood

Day 150 of lockdown
As far as racing the focus has to be on France.
Couple of group ones and 2 group twos.
Frankie is still in France at Deauville today
He rides Campanelle but the Queen will be trying to win her first group one in 7 years and Tactical is the first selection.
Frankie can win the other group one with Nazeef to help compensate for his Phumelela claim.
He rides Red Verdan in the group 2 but has a strong challenge from Call the Wind.
He can be in the winners box again with Grand Glory to make his trip worth while.
As far as house sitting, we have hundreds of birds up here and have just fed the guinea fowl.
As far as sighting, we had one massive monitor lizard and a hedgehog with a group of babies walking past the cameras at 3 this morning.
At this stage no big cats.
Sorry Porcupine 🐾
Enjoy Sunday with your family and stay safe.

Day 151
A bit of a rushed post, I gather a power station exploded and no power in large parts of Pretoria East.
So a few challenges up the mountain.
Racing at Greyville today.
UK we have Ayr in Scotland, Southwell and Bath this evening, lovely town where Buick the man to follow.
Had 2 visitors during the night, porcupines, one at 11.30 and one at 2.30, possibly went to a midnight disco up the hill?
Was thinking if you can eat porcupine? Must be a challenge to pluck them and would probably tickle your throat.
Have a pet name for the leader “ Sweet Caroline”
Thanks to Neil Diamond.

I think it’s day 152 and losing track of the days, it might be a Tuesday?
Signal not good, tried to check racing but also a bit non inspiring.
Vaal today on the local side
UK and Ireland
Bangor on Dee where I found a 10/1 double for interest Coulonces and Grey Day.
If beat you can get your money back with the even money shot Mostly at Yarmouth. Gosden and Rab combination.
We had 3 alerts last night but only the Porcupines.
Did not try the pie but here is a classic AMERICAN one
If you bored, you can always have a seminar with the lyrics
