Bad last 30 minutes for South Africa before lunch. Elgar absorbed alot of balls but strike rate was too slow. That's the danger of taking too many balls and then losing your wicket as you keep the opposition in the game. 100 runs behind. Bavuma has to bat through with the lower order for us to get a lead.

Peterson looked good, if only Markram could stick around for an hour or so thus making it a bit easier for Peterson who will score plenty in future matches

@cnc...you put the voodoo hoodoo on Bavuma... ...agree, he was looking good...save for 2 or 3 balls that jumped up and got him on the gloves...not playing as much square as he used to...

Peterson needs both openers to last a bit longer than they have been...not only Markram...Elgar has had early exits also...just not in the last 2 innings... but he is a good one for the years ahead...

van der Dussen should be looking over his shoulder...yes, he was unfortunate today but a run of low scores and some-one else in the squad may be given the opportunity...

Any lead...even 10...will put SA batsmen in a better frame of mind that they can do better than the Indian batsmen in the conditions...we need a 200+ total...

Erwee must be given a chance in the 3rd text, I believe that he is a good batsman
