Maybe 120/2 at the close of play will be good for South Africa.

you must be Siener van Rensburg reincarnated

I do take 118/2. Even if South Africa is playing Curling against Canada i will support them. Weather looks gloomy at the moment. The overcast conditions can pay into the hands of India. We still got four capable batters left, Elgar, Van Dussen, Bavuma and Verreynne. The three players after that can hold the bat. So our four capable batters need to make at least 90.

The covers are off, the playing surface is good to go, the outfield is dry but wait a second, we can’t go on now because Tea has to be taken first. Well it’s cricket after all and if we don’t go with the standard protocol what will people say.

Well done Proteas. Gutsy and determined innnings by Elgar. Bavuma seems to perform in low scoring games when the pressure is on. Onto Newlands.

Going to be interesting when Nortje is back in the next series. Who do they drop. Jansen is definitely for the future and needs to be included so he can also develop as an allrounder.

Elgar lead from the front there, gave back as good as he got. Final test hopefully will be a good one.

My dog is so bladdy clever. He loves the snow so much that at 330 this morning he woke me up ran straight to the door and out into the snow rolling around . Now I am wide awake watching the cricket and he is back in his bed fast asleep.

Great win by SA...Elgar is just so tough...Bavuma batting better...Petersen has the game to develop into a really good number 3...host of very good fast bowlers (spoilt for choice)...the makings of a great team is there...another opener, Markram to 4 (replace van der Dussen) and a spinner to balance team...Jansen has to stay long term but manage his workload so that he becomes the very good player he can be...

Some fight from England...and scoring quickly too (just under 4 to the over)...Aus got 50-100 runs too many if one considers the form of the England batsmen...draw match...

Another century in the match for Khawaja. Out of the team for 2.5 years now they can’t drop him. Same goes for the bowler Boland. Australia are definitely going to be the number 1 team very soon.

Win the toss bat first and bat long until at least mid afternoon day 2 by which time SA will have at least 380, can’t lose at Newlands with that score. A draw will be a fantastic result for Elgar and his team.

SA must be on their A game from ball one as this pitch looks like it will hold for 4 days so they must not let India get anywhere near 320. Have a feeling that Rabada will be firing on full throttle this morning

I'd be even more conservative...more than 250 will be too much...bowlers need to fire early...cloud around and greenish pitch so lots in their favour...
