South Africa Women got a lifeline from New Zealand who trashes Sri Lanka. They need to beat Bangladesh tomorrow to qualify for the semi finals.

NZ turned up to the party 2 matches too late Hopefully SA don’t choke

Doesn't really matter, it will be an England versus Aussie final, the 2 best teams in the competition.

South Africa won and on paper the teams you mentioned should walk their semi finals. Even if South Africa is playing curling I will support them. On yesterday's display their batting has to be more positive or England is going to annihilate us.

SA can beat England if Brits does not walk down the wicket as England won’t miss stumpings. Get there too batter out b4 she gets 30 and attack their left arm spinner If she bowls her 4 overs for less than 20 then SA are done. It would be perfect for woman’s cricket if it’s an India v SA final.

For the men, they have now finally realized that Bavuma is not at best in T20 - so let's see if he can make an impact as Test captain - to be fair he does not have a lot to work with as the Proteas imo are not a great team currently, but I think he deserves his chance at captaining as Elgar really made a few dodgy decisions lately - even his field placings left a lot to be desired imo. I read that the new coach is a Markram man and that he will open - but for me the jury is still out; also I would have played Verreynne in the tests above Klaasen; I have never been a fan of Coetzee, but more potential imo than Ngidi, while I don't know what more Rickelton needs to do to be in the test team - I think he has scored 4 consecutive centuries - so I would open him and not Markram

For the women, the Proteas do put up some good performances from time to time (how New Zealand finished up with 67 boggles the mind), but nowhere near consistent enough to compare to the Aussies and England; however this is T20 so one brilliant individual performance can swing a game quickly - but the final will most likely between England and Australia - while it does not take a genius to predict that the Aussies will probably have too many guns

Proteas should have enough to beat the WIndies that’s if the rain stays away.

Elgar will score big runs now that he is no longer the captain. Bavuma is long over due his 2nd test century.

Can’t wait for the Ashes this year.

ICC rankings put Jimmy Anderson as the number 1 ranked test bowler

He is 40 years and 207 days old. Unreal that he is still playing and at the top of his game.

So few top-class bowlers and that is why batsmen of this generation have inflated averages...can comfortably take off 10 off batsmen averages to get a better reflection of their all time ability...

Also big difference between first class cricket and test cricket. The mediocre batters get found out quickly internationally.

Viv Richards is one of the past batsman that I really admire. With a Test average just over 50 but his ODI record will show he was one the most fearless batsman of his era and will have definitely make it any side now. With a strike rate of 90 and an average a couple short of 50 is phenomenal for that era. And the bowlers of that era is top notch.

I always wondered why did it take Nortje so long to be discovered as he is almost 30. No one could see his raw pace?. When they had the Mzansi league you could see he had talent.

Unfortunately our test stock batting wise is bleak at the moment. Hopefully Markram and Klaasen can carry their white ball form into Test cricket. Playing away should be the measure of how good our batters are. Brevis is currently playing in an invitational XI against West Indies in an unofficial 3 day game. He is yet to make his first class debut. He should definitely make the T20 squad next month against West Indies and maybe the ODI squad.

Markram has been appointed captain of the Sunrisers in the IPL. I guess all his energy and thoughts will be firmly in that court.

T20 cricket, bat technology while the ball has remained unchanged and shorter boundaries have ruined cricket for me...just can't get myself to watch a match...no contest unless the pitch is doctored to give bowlers a chance,,,

India gave it a real go. Kaur run out proved to be vital and apparently she has been run out like that before when her bat digs the ground. Sharma suppose to face all the balls in the last over. Should have not run one.

Hopefully South Africa can go close tomorrow with home support.

India should probably have won (showing that Australia is not unbeatable) - Kaur tried to coast in for the second run watching the ball and thought she would make it easily - really an amateur mistake - just shows again that in many cases 1 moment in T20s can have a huge impact on a game - I think the Proteas would need more than 1 moment
